Family-based immigration is a cornerstone of U.S. immigration law, allowing U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to bring eligible family members to the United States. We assist clients with a comprehensive range of family petitions and visas.

  • Spousal Visas: Guiding U.S. citizens and green card holders through petitions for their spouses (IR1/CR1) and fiancé(e) visas (K-1).

Employment-Based Immigration

Employment-based immigration offers pathways for foreign nationals with specific skills, education, or investment capital to live and work permanently in the U.S. We support businesses and individuals in navigating these complex categories.

  • Employer-Sponsored Visas: Assisting employers with the intricate process of sponsoring foreign workers for various visa classifications.
  • National Interest Waivers: Guiding individuals with exceptional abilities to petition for permanent residency without employer sponsorship.

  • PERM Labor Certifications: Helping employers navigate the PERM process for permanent labor certifications.
Deportation & Removal Defense

Deportation & Removal Defense

Facing deportation or removal proceedings can be terrifying. Seifi Law Firm assists clients in deportation and removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. We fight for your rights and your future in the United States.

  • Cancellation of Removal: Defending against removal for qualifying permanent residents and non-permanent residents.
  • Asylum Defense: Representing individuals seeking protection based on fear of persecution.
  • Voluntary Departure: Assisting clients in securing voluntary departure when possible.

Asylum

Asylum (Affirmative or Defensive)

Asylum status is a form of protection available to individuals who have been persecuted or fear they will be persecuted on account of race, religion, nationality, and/or membership in a particular social group or political opinion; and are already in the United States. Seifi Law Firm handles both affirmative and defensive asylum cases.

  • Affirmative Asylum: Filing asylum applications with USCIS for those not in removal proceedings.
  • Defensive Asylum: Representing clients in immigration court who are in removal proceedings.
  • Withholding of Removal: Alternative protection for those who may not qualify for asylum.
  • Convention Against Torture (CAT): Protection for those who would face torture if returned to their home country.
Citizenship & Naturalization

Citizenship & Naturalization

Citizenship can be obtained through Naturalization, which is the process by which a Legal Permanent Resident may become a U.S. Citizen after he or she fulfills certain requirements. We guide you through every step of this important process.

  • Naturalization Applications: Comprehensive assistance with N-400 applications.
  • Citizenship Through Parents: Acquiring citizenship through U.S. citizen parents (at birth or after birth).
  • Certificate of Citizenship: Obtaining citizenship certificates for those who derived or acquired citizenship.
  • dual Citizenship: Guidance on maintaining citizenship in both the U.S. and your home country.
Victims of Crime

Victims of Crime

Many immigrants fear arrest and deportation as a result of reporting that they have been a victim of a crime. However, U.S. laws provide a number of protections for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault and other violent crimes.

  • U-Visa: For victims of certain crimes who have suffered mental or physical abuse and are helpful to law enforcement.
  • T-Visa: For victims of severe forms of human trafficking.
  • VAWA: Self-petitions and cancellation of removal for victims of domestic violence.
  • Adjustment of Status: Helping crime victims obtain lawful permanent resident status.
Waivers & Provisional Waivers

Waivers & Provisional Waivers

Individuals who have accrued more than 180 days of unlawful presence while in the United States are subject to the unlawful presence bans under Section 212(a)(9)(B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. In order to overcome this restriction, they must obtain a Waiver of Inadmissibility.

  • Provisional Waivers (I-601A): Allowing certain immigrant visa applicants to apply for waivers before leaving the United States.
  • Extreme Hardship Waivers: Demonstrating that deportation would cause extreme hardship to qualifying relatives.
  • fraud/Willful Misrepresentation Waivers: Overcoming bars to admission due to past misrepresentations.
